we're so ready to book our session with you! how do we get our date on the books?

super simple! just click on the link below to get your date on the calendar. Not sure which one is right for you? I've got you covered! Read on for more info.

INDOOR SESSIONS: For families and couples looking for a lifestyle session that will take place in your home. I usually schedule these sessions in the mid-morning/early afternoon hours for the most even lighting throughout your home. If you're scheduling an in-home newborn session, go ahead and schedule something that falls within the two week window after Baby's due date. Then let me know once your little one arrives (or if s/he'll be arriving later than expected) and we'll adjust as needed.

OUTDOOR SESSIONS: This is for families and couples looking to shoot outdoors on location. I typically start these sessions within 60-90 minutes of sunset for the best light. If there's a date you want but you don't see a time that works for you (I'm thinking toddler bedtimes here, which are long before sundown in the summer!) just book your date and shoot me an email with your preferred time. I'll be happy to help work something out!

CONSULTATIONS: For prospective wedding/elopement clients, or anybody who has a few questions to go over prior to setting a session date

A mom and dad hold their young daughter in between them as they swing her toward the camera. They're all laughing.

FAQ

what's your service area?

I'm located in the southwest Twin Cities metro, and offer portrait session services within a 30 mile radius of Minneapolis/St. Paul. I can also travel to the Mankato area free of charge. I'm available for wedding and elopement photography throughout the state of MN (travel charges may apply depending on your ceremony location and package choice). Having a destination elopement/wedding? Let's chat!

do you offer weekday sessions?

YES! My weeknight availability varies, but is typically pretty flexible. If you prefer a weekday please contact me directly and we can work something out!

when do you recommend scheduling maternity sessions?

I typically recommend scheduling your maternity session between 28-32 weeks, when your bump is nice and round but things (hopefully!) haven't gotten *too* uncomfortable yet

How does scheduling work for newborn sessions?

Ideally I like to hold newborn sessions within two weeks of Baby's due date. Use the calendar to book your session sometime within that window - then, be sure to keep me posted when Baby is born (or if Baby is taking some extra time to arrive!) and we can adjust your session date as needed.

What if we need to reschedule?

Just send me an email and we can work something out! Our contract allows for two non-weather related reschedules if needed.

What if the weather looks rough?

We'll stay in touch regarding the weather a few days before your session if things aren't looking good. Outdoor sessions will take place whether we have full sun or complete cloud cover (cloudy days actually make for great photos!) If the weather looks severe (i.e. weather events, extreme cold/heat, etc.), we'll work on rescheduling on the next available date. If we're in for some light rain but you're open to it being in your photos we can definitely roll with it!
